The New Forest
Wild horses won’t be able to drag you away from the New Forest once you’ve experienced its peace and fallen in love with the forest’s idyllic glades, ancient woodland, open moors, heathland and cliff top walks.
Escape to a world a million miles from your everyday life where ponies, cattle, donkeys and deer roam free… and all just 35 minutes from the hotel.
Whether you’re looking for secluded sands or a lively beach vibe, our stretch of the south coast has it all. With 15 miles of beaches stretching from east of Christchurch all the way to Poole, there is sure to be a place to relax by the sea that’s perfect for you.
Green cliffs and rolling hills descend into soft golden sands, lifeguard-manned clear waters provide safe havens for swimmers, and award-winning cleanliness mean that it’s no surprise we boast no less than 12 Blue Flag beaches. Rich-blue seas, iconic Neapolitan pastel beach huts, and – of course – our glorious piers stretching out to sea are just some of the Instagram-worthy beach backdrops that’ll make your friends back home green with envy.
Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum
Overlooking Bournemouth’s stunning coastline, the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum was originally the home of the well-travelled Sir Merton Russell-Cotes and his wife Lady Annie.
The house, one of the last victorian manors ever built, officially opened to the public on the first Wednesday of every month in 1909. The couple continued to live there until their deaths in the 1920’s, but their home has been lovingly protected and maintained as a stunning museum and art gallery.
The Russell-Cotes Museum and Art Gallery is just around the corner from the Queens Hotel, making it a must to visit during your stay with us.
